Three extra practice tasks

Written for this theme, no printing needed. Use them as fillers, homework ideas or a second lesson.

  1. 1. Sixty-second review

Students review a film or album in exactly one minute: what it's about, the best part, stars out of five.

Model languageIt's about a girl who can stop time. The ending is the best part. Four stars.

  2. 2. Soundtrack of my life

Students choose three songs for three moments of their life and explain each choice to a partner.

Model languageThis song reminds me of my first holiday with my friends.

  3. 3. Pitch a film

Groups invent a film: title, genre, two actors and a one-sentence plot. The class 'invests' in the best pitch.

Model languageIt's a comedy about a dog who becomes the president.
