Real-life role-plays for teens and adults

How to run a role-play

  1. Hand out the cards face down. Students read only their own card, including the hidden information.
  2. Give two minutes to plan, with the phrases on the board, then act it out in pairs.
  3. Swap roles and partners. The second run is always more fluent.
  4. Read the model dialogue last and ask what the pairs did differently.
