Three extra practice tasks

Written for this theme, no printing needed. Use them as fillers, homework ideas or a second lesson.

  1. 1. Perfect day vs real day

Learners write their real weekday and their perfect day side by side, then talk through the biggest gap.

Model languageOn a real day I get up at 6:30. On my perfect day I sleep until ten.

  2. 2. Guess the job

One learner describes the routine of a secret job; the others guess.

Model languageShe starts work at 4 a.m. She makes bread. — Is she a baker?

  3. 3. Habit swap

Partners each suggest one good habit to the other and agree to try it for a week. Report back next lesson.

Model languageWhy don't you walk to work on Fridays? — OK, I'll try it.
