Three extra practice tasks
Written for this theme, no printing needed. Use them as fillers, homework ideas or a second lesson.
1. Honest job ad
Pairs write a short, honest job ad for their own job: duties, hours, the best and worst part.
Model language
Wanted: a patient accountant. You have to work late in March.
2. Elevator pitch
Learners prepare a 30-second introduction of themselves for a networking event and deliver it twice to new partners.
Model language
Hi, I'm Ana. I work in logistics. I make sure deliveries arrive on time.
3. Workplace dilemmas
Give short dilemmas (a colleague takes credit for your work…). Groups agree on what they would say.
Model language
I'd say: 'Actually, I worked on that part. Can we mention it to the team?'
