Three extra practice tasks
Written for this theme, no printing needed. Use them as fillers, homework ideas or a second lesson.
1. Monster swap
Each child secretly draws a monster, then describes it to a partner, who draws it. Compare the two pictures.
Model language
My monster has got four arms and one big eye.
2. Teacher says — or not?
Give commands; children obey only when you start with 'Teacher says'. Swap the leader every minute.
Model language
Teacher says touch your knees! … Clap your hands! (Oops!)
3. Doctor, doctor
In pairs, one is the doctor and one the patient who points to what hurts. The doctor gives one tip.
Model language
What's the matter? — My ear hurts. — Oh no! Rest at home.
