How to play

  1. A picture — or a question — appears above two doors.

  2. The class votes — hands up in the room, chat online.

  3. You tap the door they chose.

  4. Right — the door swings open into the light.

  5. Wrong is fine too — the right door always opens in the end.

  6. Keep team scores on the lanterns, or play with none at all.

Variations

Three ways to play it differently once the class knows the rules.

  1. Team lanterns

Turn on two to four teams, and each right door lights that team's lantern.

  2. Vote in the chat

In an online lesson, students vote in the chat and you open the door the class chose.

  3. Past tense round

Switch the questions to past tense, and the class chooses the right past form at every door.
