Class star jar

Free · no ads · no accounts

A jar that fills with stars is the gentlest reward system there is: nobody loses, nobody is compared to anybody, and the class wins together or not at all. Tap the button when the class earns a star and one drops in with a soft clink. Choose the target — ten for one lesson, fifty for a whole month — and write the treat everyone is working towards. The jar remembers where it got to, so it is still filling when you open it tomorrow.

💡 How teachers use it

  • 🌼One star every time the whole class speaks English for a full activity.
  • 🌼Set fifty as the target and let it run all month towards a game day.
  • 🌼Show it at the start of the lesson: nine to go is a very motivating number.

Questions teachers ask

Does it remember the stars between lessons?

Yes — that is the whole point. The count is kept in this browser, so a jar you started on Monday is still half full on Thursday. Reset clears it when you want a fresh one.

What if I tap it by mistake?

The minus button takes one star back out. Reset asks first, so a jar a class spent a week filling is never emptied by an accidental tap.

Can we keep going past the target?

Yes. The celebration happens once when the jar fills, and then the stars keep piling up — plenty of classes just raise the target and carry on.
