Teacher's guide
How to run the scene in a lesson, the language it practises and what to do next.
In an online lesson
- Share your screen in Explore. Before you tap, make the sound yourself and let the child guess: “Moo! Which animal?” Then tap and check.
- In Listen & find, turn the labels off. After each find, ask “What does the duck say?” and let the child answer with the sound.
- In Who lives where?, ask the question before the voice does. The child answers “In the field!” and you drag; swap roles halfway.
- In Sing along, the child makes each animal sound with the song as the animal moves on screen. In Repeat after me, stay quiet yourself and let the child sing the lines back alone.
In the classroom
- On an interactive whiteboard, go full screen and give each child one animal to take home; the class says the sentence together.
- Put three paper signs in the corners of the room (barn, field, pond). Say an animal; children walk to its home and make its sound.
- Play it as a sound quiz: one child makes an animal sound, the class finds that animal on the board.
- Give each child an animal (a picture card or a mask): they stand up and make their sound when their animal is sung, and everybody sings the last two lines together. Try it on Slow first.
