Flashcard games
A flashcard shown is a flashcard forgotten. The same deck becomes a lesson when the child has to find its pair, hear it and hunt for it, or draw it for someone else to guess — the card stops being the activity and starts being the material.
Every topic here exists both on screen, with tap-to-hear audio, and as a printable cut-out sheet, so the online and offline versions of your lesson use exactly the same words.

How many cards should be in play at once?
Six new ones, plus a few old friends to make the round feel winnable. A deck of twenty is a display, not a game.
Can I print the cards without a colour printer?
Yes — the sheets are designed to stay readable in black and white, and the pictures are line-friendly. Children colouring the cards themselves is a free extra activity.
What is the difference between flip cards and memory?
Flip cards introduce — one card at a time, no pressure, flip to check. Memory reviews — everything is face down and the child has to hold the words in their head. Use them in that order.
