Which animal pack should I start with?
Pets. They are the animals a child has actually met, the words are short, and every student has a story about one — which is a speaking lesson hiding inside a vocabulary lesson.
How do I use animal sounds in an English lesson?
As the answer, not the decoration. You make the sound, they say the English word; then swap. It is listening practice that a three-year-old will happily do forty times.
Are there enough words for older kids?
Wild animals, sea animals and insects go well beyond cat and dog, and they pair naturally with describing: size, colour, where it lives, what it eats. That is a full sentence lesson for a nine-year-old.
