A ready-to-teach numbers lesson built on the five-block structure: land & warm, teach, play, produce, land. Every link below opens with this topic already loaded β the plan runs from one browser tab.
Before the lesson (1 minute)
- Open the numbers topic page in a tab β the word wall doubles as your flashcards and pronunciation guide.
- Offline or with a printer: print the flashcards sheet. Two items maximum on the child's desk.
Warm-up (0β3 min)
The fixed opening: wave + name + hello song. Then thirty seconds of topic TPR: "Show me a zero! Now be a one!" β bodies first, words after.
Teach: six words (3β9 min)
- 0οΈβ£ zero (Π½ΠΎΠ»Ρ) β show, say, echo in a silly voice, tap the card to hear it.
- 1οΈβ£ one (ΠΎΠ΄ΠΈΠ½) β show, say, echo in a silly voice, tap the card to hear it.
- 2οΈβ£ two (Π΄Π²Π°) β show, say, echo in a silly voice, tap the card to hear it.
- 3οΈβ£ three (ΡΡΠΈ) β show, say, echo in a silly voice, tap the card to hear it.
- 4οΈβ£ four (ΡΠ΅ΡΡΡΠ΅) β show, say, echo in a silly voice, tap the card to hear it.
- 5οΈβ£ five (ΠΏΡΡΡ) β show, say, echo in a silly voice, tap the card to hear it.
Play (9β17 min)
Main game on today's words β Memory in pictureβword mode (say every card aloud), or Bingo if the child likes hunting. One game played twice beats two games played once.
Produce (17β22 min)
- Personal questions with today's words: "Do YOU like the zero? Which one is big? Which is your favourite?"
- Or spin Name 3 β when the cube lands anywhere near today's theme, watch the recall fireworks.
Land (22β25 min)
- The suitcase: 'What are you taking home?' β each child packs one word.
- A star on the chart, the fixed goodbye song, camera wave.
β Take this with you
Six numbers words met seven ways in twenty-five minutes β and next lesson starts by waking these words before adding more. Steal this structure for any topic; the games re-load in one tap.
