Numbers: from one to one hundred

Three boards — to 20, to 50, to 100 — each with audio on every number, a listen-and-find game, the words spelled out, and a printable chart.

English numbers are two lessons wearing one hat. The words one to twenty have to be learned one at a time — with thirteen and thirty laying their famous trap. After twenty, a pattern takes over: learn eight tens words and the whole road to one hundred opens at once.

That is why this page splits the journey into three boards. Take the one your class is ready for; every number on it speaks when tapped.

🔟 The tens: eight words, eighty numbers

Past twenty, every number is just a tens word plus a ones word: forty-two, sixty-seven.

🍎 The -teen / -ty trap (thirteen vs thirty) is about stress: THIR-teen ends strong, THIR-ty ends soft. Clap it — claps beat explanations.
