How to use it in class

  1. Hide the words for games. In the “Print sheet” tab, set “Words on cards” to “Picture only”. With the word printed, readers read it instead of remembering it — keep one labelled set for yourself.

  2. What's missing? Stick six cards on the board and say them together. The children close their eyes while you take one away; whoever names the missing card first comes up and hides the next one.

  3. Slow reveal. Pull a card out of an envelope a little at a time, or flash it for half a second. The children call out guesses in English — even the wrong guesses are speaking practice.
